Miss Jane

Principal

Miss Jane began dancing at the age of three at Cardwell Theatre School in Altrincham, Cheshire. At 16, she moved to London to continue her training at Performers College under the direction of Brian Rogers, where she gained a Level 4 diploma in musical theatre and teaching qualifications in both modern and tap.

After completing the three year course, Miss Jane went on to work abroad, singing and dancing at Disneyland Paris, as well as in Corfu, Minorca, Cyprus and Spain. On her return to England, she took up a teaching post at Cardwell Theatre School where she gained further teaching qualifications in ballet.

In January 2007, Miss Jane relocated to Corby Glen and formed The Dance Academy, before moving to a premises in nearby Swinstead. Miss Jane teaches all subjects within the school, as well as choreographing for festivals.

Miss Jane has gained licentiate levels in tap and modern, and fellowship levels in ballet and theatre craft.

Miss Jacquie

Dance Teacher

Miss Jacquie has been teaching dance for over 26 years and has been teaching at The Dance Academy on a Friday and Saturday since 2013. Throughout her years of teaching she has gained licentiate levels in ballet, tap, modern, theatre craft and associate tap. Miss Jacquie has helped train students to gain entry into the Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, numerous dance colleges and has many former students performing in West End shows. Miss Jacquie thoroughly loves teaching and is happy to have joined The Dance Academy team.
